My router si connect to an equipment which encapsulate ethernet frame on E1 link, this equipemnt is connected to router 3620 via ethnet interface. The error on interface eth0/0 is big and ping is not good :
GN-3640-YDE#sh int e0/1
Ethernet0/1 is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is AmdP2, address is 0001.966c.af82 (bia 0001.966c.af82)
Internet address is 192.168.100.1/24
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 10000 Kbit, DLY 1000 usec,
reliability 229/255, txload 11/255, rxload 5/255
Encapsulation ARPA, loopback not set
Keepalive set (10 sec)
ARP type: ARPA, ARP Timeout 04:00:00
Last input 00:00:00, output 00:00:00, output hang never
Last clearing of "show interface" counters 02:44:25
Queueing strategy: fifo
Output queue 0/40, 0 drops; input queue 0/75, 0 drops
5 minute input rate 216000 bits/sec, 77 packets/sec
5 minute output rate 470000 bits/sec, 147 packets/sec
476588 packets input, 170444564 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 28371 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
29707 input errors, 29707 CRC, 14686 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored
0 input packets with dribble condition detected
2300290 packets output, 700548051 bytes, 0 underruns
329 output errors, 0 collisions, 1 interface resets
0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred
329 lost carrier, 0 no carrier
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out
The reliability is not 255/255, the problem is on router card or on the remote equiment ?

Check for duplex/speed mismatches, try changing cables, try a diff. switch port, different ethernet port if available, all of the obvious stuff. What type of device are you tying into?? Can you post a copy of show log?

Based on the 329 lost carrier errors that you have on your interface, I would say that it is either the cable or router interface that is the issue. Try a different cable first.
