Bandwidth command on physical or sub-interface?

Hi All,

I am just going through finishing some study but wondering about where the bandwidth command ** should ** be placed?

Should it be specified on the physical interface or sub-interface for routing protocols to calculate the correct metric?

Cheers

Routing protocols run under interfaces with an IP assigned. If the sub-interfaces have the IP, then the bandwidth statement should be there.

Thats what I thought the answer would be but was 100% sure of it.
