Bandwidth requirement calculation

I have to design a network for offshore storage.

5GB data would need to be copied over an IPLC link daily.

Considering the latency between the circuits to be 280ms, how should i calculate to size the bandwidth requirement

You also need to know the application that will be transferring/receiving the data. Throughput is controlled in the application level, you can have the biggest internet pipe in the world but if your application can only push/receive data maximum of 1KB per second, it defeats the purpose.
