Re: Banner

Hi Nasheer, Kindly refer to the document linked by s.arunkumar.

Excerpts from the same document :

1) SSH v2 supports login banner. Login banner is displayed if SSH client sends username (which it does by default) when it initiates connection with the router.

*Refer screen shot frm document - Connect button is not enabled if username and hostname are not mentioned by SSH client.

2)Putty does not support login banner because it does not send username by default. Putty Client does not require username to initiate connection to router. Putty client directly connects to the router and prompts for login username/password. Though it can be configured to send username afterwhich it will also display the banner before login username/password.

Re: Banner

You may have to run SSHv2 to resolve banner problems.

We faced similar problems with v1, but got resolved with v2.

Re: Banner

it is good idea to run SSHv2 anyway.

Also which client are you using? On the link above not all clients display banner right away.
