Best Practise for OSPF Authentication key(s) at the IntraNet

Hi,

I wonder if any one knows a link on the best practise for OSPF authentication in the intra-net. We have 10+ ospf areas around the backbone area 0.

I am weighting which way to go, just one key for the entire enterprise or one per ospf area.

Appreciate your input.

Sami

If really depends on your security policy. What I suggest if it is a closed and controlled network, you can consider one key for the whole network. If you need to peer w/ uncontrolled negibhor, you may consider to use different key for different group of negibhor.

Hope this helps.
