Hi Guys,

I am running EBGP between my first CE and MPLS PEs.

From my CE i have 2 loopback interfaces as below:

1) 10.10.10.0 mask 255.255.255.0

2) 10.247.13.0 mask 255.255.255.0

I am advertising those subnets to the PEs using the network statement.

On the PEs, both subnets are visible and there is no issue. however, when i check the other CEs, they show as below:

     10.0.0.0/24 is subnetted, 1 subnets
B       10.247.15.0 [20/0] via x.x.x.x

any idea why the 10.10.10.0 is not showing ?

Thanks,

Hi,

1) do the PEs advertise this prefix to the CEs?

sh ip bgp vpnv4 vrf xxx neighbor x.x.x.x advertised

2) do the CEs filter this prefix?

sh run | s router bgp

 sh ip bgp 10.10.10.0 255.255.255.0

Regards

Alain

Don't forget to rate helpful posts.

I agree with Alain that more information about how your router is configured would be helpful. And in addition to some configuration details it might be helpful if you would post the output of show ip route.

Thanks for the reply guys, it turned out that the problem was from the lab setup on GNS3. After i fixed it, everything worked like it supposed to be.

Thanks for posting back to the forum to tell us that you had found the problem and had fixed it. Sometimes it is helpful for us to be reminded of the importance of checking fundamental setup when we run into a problem. Also thanks for the rating.
