BGP and its own transport protocol, unlike IGPs

I read this :

"Unlike most IGPs, BGP does not supply its own transport protocol. Instead, BGP uses TCP to provide reliable transport,,,,,,,"

Since we have got two transport protocols (TCP, UDP), does that mean that IGPs have their own transport protocol ? I am looking for an example for that ?

Actually there are more than two transport protocols. IPX/SPX come to mind as well as DCCP, SCTP, and RTP. Here's a link to more transport protocols: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Transport_layer_protocols

In short what the statement means is that most IGPs have a dedicated transport protocol (EIGRP/RTP) while BGP shares TCP with other applications.
