I am looking at using a 2811 for BGP for redundancy. I was told that a 2811 router will not allow 10 MB of bandwidth but only around 5MB throughput? I've never heard of a limt but I wanted to be sure, This is for multihoming to a single router, one ISP has 10MB fiber the other (for redundancy)and the other is a full T-1. Any help or suggestions. There about 200 devices on the network.

That is not quite correct. You can pass around 60Mbps of traffic through a 2811, as per the following document:
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/765/tools/quickreference/routerperformance.pdf
Note that you should have about 256Mb DRAM in it if you wish to carry the full Internet routing table.
Hope that helps - pls do rate the post if it does.

Hi robert,
PAresh is right
I have an MPLS connection of 10MB connecting to 2811 router and it is working fine for the past 6 months without any issues.
Be careful if you want to receive the full internet routing table though
