BGP community ignored for ospf route-map

Hello,

I am receiving BGP routes, and want to set OSPF tags on them, based on BGP standard community. However in my test lab 2 communities are untagged (144.180.10.0 and 194.43.10.0) and one is community tagged in BGP (138.124.10.0).

The first route-map line should match the 144:200 tag in 138.124.10.0 and set OSPF tag of 190. However it seems to ignore the match community and all routes with/without community match route-map TEST permit 10, and all have tag 190 set on them.

Is this a bug?

Should this work?

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Re: BGP community ignored for ospf route-map

Hi,

Just like you said all three routes are matched against your 1st route map statement, sets a metric of 3 and sets a route tag of 190 and redistributed into OSPF.

Based on that it appears all 3 routes are matching the community list 91. Can you add the global config command 'ip bgp-community new-format' and do a sh ip bgp 138.124.10.0 for the router to display the community in new format and that would help us verify the above assumption

Hoe that helps!

Regards,

Sundar
