BGP confederation issue

           All,

I am running a bg confed lab.

Got it all square away and dandy....however, I got this error "

*Mar  1 00:16:18.263: %BGP-6-ASPATH: Invalid AS path 2002 (2000) received from 10.10.10.8: Confederation AS-path found in the middle"

!

I did some digging and find out that it could be relate to an IOS bug....but couldn't find where or what image#?

!

Anyone ever see this error before,pls. advise how to fix.

Hi Mohamed,

An IOS bug is certainly possible but I think that this may be just some misconfiguration at hand.

Can you please post the diagram of your topology that clearly shows the BGP peerings and the boundaries of individual sub-ASes in your confederation? Also please include other information that would help us understand your configuration better. If possible, also include the configurations of your devices.
