Hi,

I Have 2 routers, A and B.

Currently there is a problem advertising the network of 172.16.40.0/24 to another remote side. Notice it goes to from Router A to Router B,is this normal?

Or It should point to the SP Customer Equipment IP instead?

TIA

Hi ,

If you have a IBGP neigborship between A and B , any ebgp learned route by B ( AD 20 ) would be given to IBGP neigbor A( AD 200 ) and its normal . In case if you want to deny , need to have proper filters .

At router B , next-hop points to SP ip and the same would be carried over in IBGP update unless you have configured bgp next-hop-self . I think here you have configured next-hop-self .

Hope this helps .

Let me know if your question was different
