I've got problems to set up md5 peer authentication with internal bgp. Is just md5 peer authentication supported on external peers?

Hello Oli,
BGP MD5 authentication works on any TCP session, regardless of iBGP or eBGP. What exactly is the problem ?
This might not apply to you at all, but if you are using a PIX, you might want to check this document:
