BGP Peer Groups for clarity

Is it acceptable to use peer groups solely as an organization contruct even if there is only one peer in the group?  It certainly makes the BGP config cleaner to follow, but are there down-sides to this?

Hello Joseph,

it may be acceptable.

Only question is if using these peer-groups break an update-group ( a group of neighbors sharing the same outbound routing policy are automatically placed in the same update group in an effort to optimize resources) in multiple update groups.

If this happens there is a performance penalty.to be considered

note: to check this tests would be needed.
