BGP under VRF address-family

Hi,

If we configure BGP under the ipv4 address-family, we can say that as IP-BGP and we can see the neighbor status with the command "sh ip bgp sum".

But if we configure BGP under a ipv4 vrf address-family, we are seeing the neighbor status with the use of the command "sh ip bgp vpn all sum".

I hope the BGP configured under VRF is also a IP-BGP and not MP-BGP. then why are we seeing the same as a VPNv4 BGP neighbor ???

If it appears under sh ip bgp vpn all sum command it means that router is included as MP-BGP not only as IP-BGP.
