Hi,
I have just configured MD5 authentication between two iBGP speakers in my test lab. The iBGP session came up and everything seemed to be working fine, BUT... Both speakers are complaining about "No MD5 Digest from neighbor x.x.x.x (<port no>)". Can someone help shed some light here?
Thanks.

Hi
can you post the config which you have done in your lab routers ?

It is possible that these messages are generated by stale sessions that were trying to get establish before the MD5 string was configured on both sides. If this is the case, the issue trivial since it is not impacting the working session. To find out if this is the case do a "sh tcp brief" and see if you have sessions that are not in established state.
Hope this helps,

Hi,
Is there any way to get rid of these messages without reboot? All TCP connections are established in my case.
Thanks

Hi all... Thanks very much for your feedback. It turned out that all I needed to do was to reboot the routers, and everything was OK.
Cheers.
