BGP

Hi,

I have two edge cisco 3825 routers which connects two different isp`s, basically this setup is for redudency. The problem is what routes I have to accept from the isp`s and how to accive this?? can any one post the sample config to do the same.

Depends if you have your own AS number and your own block of addresses.

In the simplist configuration just define a neigbor from a router to a ISP and then a neighbor between the 2 routers. You will need to put a network statement in on each router for your address block.

If you don't have your own address block or AS number then you can run BGP but it is only to determine if the line is up between you and your ISP. You could use any routing protocol because all they need to send you is the default route. You just have to redistribute it into your IGP in your 3825 to use the one you want.
