Hi,

I think change to c7206xvr G2's. Because I have got 2 GB active traffics.

I will buy c7600 router. But I saw c7600 routers since 2001 for the referance guide. When is it c7600 router end of life time?

How do I chose equipment? Can you advice me?

From a 7206VXR to a 7613 - that's quite a jump.

Don't have any specific information on the 7613, but since the same vintage 6513 (non-E chassis) has gone of EOL (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps708/eol__C51-699410.html), one might wonder (although there's not a 7613-S).

The c7600 series will probably be around for a while yet, but not all components within the series, i.e. some components of the series will go EoL before the series goes EoL.

When choosing equipment, first address your need.  Assuming there are multiple options, you could consider age of particular components to guesstimate how much longer they might be supported.

The ASR line would be the correct replacement for the 7200 router.

Why are you contemplating the 7600 are the upgrade option?

Because I checked cisco web sites so I saw c7600 traffic limits and throughput higer than ASR series.

I want to tenG interface and about 3 Gbps active traffic.

ASR1006 + SIP40 + SPA-1X10GE-L-V2 = what you need.

I agree with Edison that the logical progression from a 7200 would be an ASR platform, although depending on your feature needs a L3 switch, LAN or MetroE, might be a suitable option too.

We are buying the 7613 mainly because we have lots of Metro E circuits landing on this switch. are you saying that this is eol soon?
