It can be used for CCNA, CCNP, and some CCIE. It's a layer 2 only switch, but very effective for configuring & troubleshooting spanning-tree. STP is a very important topic and is focused on heavily in CCNP and CCIE and this switch would serve well. The biggest difference in CCIE is that they use a layer 3 switch so they can have routable interfaces as well.
