I'm looking at purchasing a Cisco 877w for the built-in ADSL modem and wireless functionality. However, I wish to know whether it can also function in a cable DSL scenario by utilising one of the ethernet ports as a WAN port, i.e. like an 871?
Otherwise, I may consider using an 871 with a separate ADSL modem instead. This would allow me to change DSL services in future without purchasing a new router.
