Can I Bond two T1s that are not in the same slot?

I have a Cisco 1841. I'm curious to know if you can bond T1s together that aren't in the same slot.

thotsaphon provided a GREAT example, do you have any other sample config that I may be able to use? I just like to maybe have a back up plan.

Any assistance is great.

Re: Can I Bond two T1s that are not in the same slot?

I have a main site and a remote site that are connected to share bandwidth.

I have a 1841 at the remote site. There is a free slot in the Cisco 1841 at the remote site. I think I can add up to two more T1s in the open slot. Is this correct?

Slot 0: empty

Slot 1: Contains a WIC with two T1 connections.

I have a Cisco 2800 at the main site with multiple slots open.

I am trying to add more bandwidth to the remote site.

Any assistance?

Jason,

Cisco1841 has 2 HWIC slots. So you can add another card on slot0. Are you going to implement Multilink?

yes, PPP Multilink.

Any idea how I could set this up? Will I be able to bond the T1s on both slots.

Re: Can I Bond two T1s that are not in the same slot?

Jason,

You can set it up(both sides). Here is an example.

controller T1 0/0/0

framing esf

linecode b8zs

channel-group 0 timeslots 1-24

!

controller T1 0/1/0

framing esf

linecode b8zs

channel-group 0 timeslots 1-24

!

interface Multilink1

ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.252

no cdp enable

ppp multilink

ppp multilink group 1

!

interface Serial0/0/0:0

no ip address

encapsulation ppp

no fair-queue

ppp multilink

ppp multilink group 1

!

!

interface Serial0/1/0:0

no ip address

encapsulation ppp

no fair-queue

ppp multilink

ppp multilink group 1

!

Will I be able to bond the T1s on both slots? Don't worry too much. It can.

Thanks for your last response, that was QUICK!

By chance would you have another sample (you can leave out the T1 config portion)?

I just always like to have a backup plan?
