Can't access my IIS web server using external address from LAN

Hello everyone

Ok - I'll do my best to explain my

situation.

I have an IIS web server running on Win 2000 server. Can access this server from LAN using its local IP address ( 192.168.1.58). also I?ve configured my 1841 Cisco router to forward any attempt of accessing this server from the internet based on my public IP address which I bought from ISP. My public IP address is 80.227.XX.XXX. any attempt to reach 80.227.XX.XXX from within my internal network times out , Everyone else in the world can get to that address but my internal network ;-) I can still access my server fine using its internal address. I thought its something to do with my ISP but after a long debate with them we couldn?t reach to a solution. With a hopeless attempt I replaced my $2000 router with $60 simple linksys router and it worked with no issues.

Does anyone has an idea what is going on

Thanks in advance
