Cannot remove tdm-group

I have a customer with the following configured, they are running 12.3(14)T3:

controller T1 0/1/0

framing esf

linecode b8zs

channel-group 0 timeslots 5-24

tdm-group 1 timeslots 1-4

!

controller T1 0/1/1

framing esf

linecode b8zs

tdm-group 1 timeslots 1-4

Problem is that they have been told that they need to use type e&m on their tdm-groups, but when they try to add it, it does nothing. When they try to remove the tdm-group, the get the following error:

%TDMGROUP - This group is part of an existing connection

How can we get "type e&m" into the tdm-group?

Hi,

I don't know if you already figured this out. If you haven't, then shut down the voice ports on the router and you should be able to modify the 'tdm-group' command.
