i have Cat OS switch, after loggin thru console i did show user , all the 9 vty session were occupied. i tried to disconnect the line but cud not. is there any other way where i can clear the telnet session and get access to the device thru telnet ?

Hi,
If you have any snmp server configured in your router for collecting the traps or any other info , then you can clear it

Vanesh, it is not a terminal Server .

You could possibly try modifying the timeout value for the vty lines.

router# who

98 vty 0 test idle 5w3d 10.10.10.1
router# sho tcp brief
TCB Local Address Foreign Address (state)
664B37C 10.10.10.1.22 10.10.10.2.22 ESTAB
router# clear tcp TCB 664B37C
(confirm)
router# return
