cant use rommon mode

When I boot my cisco 2620xm it show wierd characters and wont let me do anything. First this was cuased by a power failure when hte router was upgrading. Second I have used the jumpers to reset the console speed with no luck. finally i have removed all modules to see if they were the problem but its no use. How do I fix this router? Its used in a classrooms lab setup.

a C2620xm should have a software based config-register.

try to connect to the console using different speeds until you see readable output

Jumpers???

You will have to patiently try out every speed there is on the console terminal. No choice.
