CAR on interface

Is CAR effectively policing on an interface without having policies assigned?

Thanks,

Re: CAR on interface

CAR is legacy policing.

With today's policing, you have a hierarchical design with MQC.

With CAR, you rely on rate-limit on the interface with an associated ACL and bandwidth values.
