CBWFQ question...

I have a remote office with a T-1 that they hammer to one particular server. In order to try and prioritize the traffic I tried the follwing policy-map..

class-map DSSTWN

match access-group name DSSTWN

!

!

policy-map PRIDSSTWN

class DSSTWN

bandwidth percent 65

class class-default

fair-queue

Extended IP access list DSSTWN

permit ip any host X.X.X.X

I know this may be a dumb question, but if I apply it to the interface, I do not see any matched packets, is this because it will not take effect until congestion occurs or should I see it from sh policy-map interface commands?

Re: CBWFQ question...

you should see the hits all the time it soes not matter about congestion. you should see the hits in the ACL and the policy-map interface command.

Obviously this config is at the remote site not the server site!

is the service policy output command on the interface implemented ok? have you got the interface config
