CCO account and download privilegdes

Please help me with my account privilege. I have a quest account on cisco website. My questions are following.

1.Will guest account allow me to download IOS on cisco website.

2. What is CCO account, and will it allow me to download IOS.

3.I have passed my CCIE written, can I get the privilege to download IOS.

4. To download IOS, what is the minimal type of account needed.

Hi,

Generally you would need either a support agreement or partner account to have access to the IOS downloads.

I am not sure if you get this access as a full CCIE or not (since I'm not one yet!). However this would not be the case until you actually have CCIE, not just written.

You need a smartnet contract for support on IOS devices for this.

Contact your cisco sales team for more information.

CCIE written wont allow any privilege on your account.

May I know that if customer direct purchase from Cisco - mean direct customer, then we are able to download the IOS by ourself?

Not unless you purchased a smartnet contract as part of the hardware purchase.

Generally any smartnet will have IOS update built in, your smartnet contract gets tied to your CCO account,

and you are ready to go.
