CCTV through Cisco Router Issue

Dears,

We are having an issue when we connect to CCTV (located at a remote site with a public ip) from our office network. The issue only happens when the traffic is passing through the Cisco router. If we connect our PC to the service provider modem directly CCTV client able to connect the without any issue.

The error message says "The ip addresss / Port is wrong". But the ip address and port (2000) are correct as it connect to the server from outside office network.  CCTV is Toshiba Surveillix.

Kindly advise if anybody experience the same issue and if there is any fix for the same

Best Regards

Shimjid

Hello

It sounds like a translation issue, as you plug your pc direct into your IPS modem its connecting via a public ip address, however when you connect via your router ( behind the isp modem), I am assuming it connecting on a internal lain interlace and this is were the problem lies.

If your already using NAT - you could try adding a static nat translation on the router for the cctv public ip & port

ip nat inside source static (tcp-udp) Local-ip (port) public_ip (port)
