CE500 24TT

the alert LED is on and i cant access the GUI. i tried to refresh my IE but the CE500 switch doesnt give me access to the GUI. tried connecting it to a 2950 and access. the show cdp neig cmd, only sees the CE500 but it dosent have a mangement IP. tried using the cisco netwrk assistant and access the 2950 that is conncted to the CE500, i can only view the CE500 switch but not access it.

is there other ways to reset the CE500 to factory defaults except for the GUI?

See the 'Recover the switch software' section in 'Troubleshooting' in this doc:

This should allow you to pick 'Erase system config and boot factory image' and restart the configuaration process...

I have tried many time to assign an IP address to my ce500 but after the initial express setup, I can't access the device and the only thing I can do is erasing the system config.

Could you help me please ?

I found the solution : the laptop used to configure the switch MUST be in DHCP.
