Hi

You have mentioned WIC cards. No word of E1 card?Pls give information about that also.

Pls tell us:

(1)That will be for data or for voice?

(2)Is it framed or unframed.

(3)CRC is on or off.

Anyway The standard 2 Mbps config for data is:

On controller e1 give following commands:

"channel-group 0 timeslots 1-31 speed 64

clock rate line

line-code HDB3

framing no-CRC4"

Then a serial interface will pop-up, you have to configure it similar to any serial interface

"int s0:15

ip add

encap

Pls look at following link.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios120/12cgcr/dial_c/dcchant.htm#4736

.

Pls revert back if u have more questions.

Pls rate all posts.

Hi,

Thanks for teh reply !!!!

i am useing it for voice and i am transporting voice and the backhand i am using (PSAX2300 Lucent atm )

and for voice should change my speed ??

and other thing more

channel-group 0 ??

channel-group 1 ??

any differnce between them ???

Thanks

Hi

(1)You will need to configure "pri-group" instead of "channel-group".

Do not forget to define "isdn switch-type" before giving "pri-group" command.

(2)The pri-group/channel-group 0 or 1 or anything defines the timeslots.

Say, There are 30 channels in an E1, if you want to configure each for seperate speeds (for data), then

channel-group 0 timeslots 1 ===== speed=64K

channel-group 1 timeslots 2-3 ===== speed=128K

....and so on.

As I have mentioned earlier each group creates a serial interface, hence you can seperately define config. for each.

......I believe I have made myself clear?

Pls tell us what exactly you want to do with it, and if possible a network diagram

Pls view the following links.

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios120/12cgcr/dial_c/dcchant.htm#5070

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios120/12cgcr/dial_c/index.htm

Hope it helps.
