Channelized Data T1/E1 and Clear-channel Data T1/E1

Hello.

I have the question. I need to buy cisco 4451x with digital t1/e1 ports. I check 4451x can have Channelized Data T1/E1 or Clear-channel Data T1/E1. Could someone explain what is the difference?

As far as I know Channelized

As far as I know Channelized it's the same of Structured. ITU defined two way to transmit PDH signal: one is based on T1, the other on E1. T1/E1 are clear channel at 1544Kbps and 2048 Kbps respectively but ITU defines also a framing for them (G.704)  dividing them in timeslot usable for user data (23/30). Part of the bandwidth is used for signaling and synchronization therefore  the total bandwidth is reduced to 1536/1920 Kbps. Structured E1/T1 are used primarily for ISDN PRI
