Use search function on CCO for "channelized T1", there are many many documents. Basically, once you configure "channel-group 1 timeslots" new interfaces will appear and you configure them just like traditional serial.
Hi, thank you. I don't full understand this interface, in terms of Leased Line and ISDN. Leased line here is Diginet and ISDN is ISDN. So how is it that they talk about the same controller for ISDN and Diginet (Serial), is this the correct part No for the card I should be using? NM-1CE1T1-PRI and would that handle 64 leased lines at 64K each? or should i use the NM-2CE1T1-PRI?
The NM-1CE1T1-PRI (1-port) and NM-2CE1T1-PRI (2-port) network modules provide support for T1, E1, and ISDN primary rate interface (PRI) network connections in a network module form factor.
When in E1 mode, the module can be configured between channelized E1, ISDN PRI, E1-CAS-R2, balanced and unbalanced, and structured (G.704) versus unstructured (G.703) modes.
You'll have to use the NM-2CE1T1-PRI, which shall give you 2 E1s, but each E1 can only give you 31 channel each of 64K (the lost channel is used for framing), while in T1 mode it shall give you 24 channels each.
Channel-group values range from 0 to 23 for T1 controllers and from 0 to 30 for E1 controllers.
