I have a cisco 2503 router, everything is working fine. i want to configure it as a DHCP server to serv LAN users. but the command are not working. the ios version is 11.3
any support appriciated.

hi swapnil,
sorry for that because i cant do it...
but you can serch it on the web, i found some thing like "IOS Hunter" when i was studying so they are allowing me to have some ios download...
try to search on google IOS HUNTER and they are charging something like 60$ but you can go for trial version it will allow to download some free IOS...

but i have tried this, the service dhcp command doesn't work. i think the ios doesn't support dhcp.

one thing you can do is just check out the ios configuration guide, if there is any dhcp configuration command is there then its okay otherwise you have to go for the IOS upgrade which is supported by your hardware as well as that ios should support the dhcp configuration...

you have to download it from the cisco website and for that you need username and password to login...
so just talk to your employer if they have access to download IOS then only you can...

well we dont have a username password which would allow me download a valid ios. can u help me in that.
