cisco 2811 router LAN ports

Hi ,

    i would to ask that ,how many extra interface port can be plugged in to the 2811 router ,there are 2 fixed FE port on this router and i have 3 connection

i.e one mpls link , one internet link  and one sip trunk .. some body confirm me  that i can insert module in 2811 ? in order to solve this problem

Hi Ibrahim,

If you insert a HWIC-4ESW card then you will get four more fastethernet ports:

FE0/0/0

FE0/0/1

FE0/0/2

FE0/0/3

is this you wanted to know. or somethingelse?

yes Thankyou , but one more thing  which type of card for sip trunk should i use? i mean GE or FE?...

As per my knowledge you have to use GE for the SIP trunk.

Hi Ibrahim,

I prefer to buy a HWIC-4ESW card because you'll never push over a 100Mb of traffic through a 2800 series device.
