I have a Cisco 3700 that has 4 fast ethernet modules. One of them is faulty and needs replacing. I have the new part but need to know what the procedure is for replacement. Ie back set up etc Please can someone advise

John,
If the replacement part is identical, shut down the router and replace. The config shouldn't change. However, I always recommend backing up the config.
Just do a 'show run' and copy and paste to notepad. If something changed, you have the original config in your workstation.
