Hi All,
Can anyone tell me with certainty if a 3745 fan assembly and bezel can be replaced without powering down the router?
Thanks!

Hello Michael,
the procedure doesn't tell it explicitly
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/3700/hardware/notes/3745iops.html#wp75551
but at the beginning of the chapter it says:
Disconnect all power before doing the following:
-Working on or near power supplies
-Installing or removing a router chassis or network processor module
-Performing most hardware upgrades
So it looks like possible to do it if you can access the front panel see the drawings.
I think we had some field engineer that did on the fly on some site.
The power supplies are on the other side.
Hope to help
Giuseppe

Yes, you can replace it without shutting down the router. There's a DC power-socket connecting the chassis fan to the MB. Once you open the front (2 screws) of the chassis (which is the fan assembly) it will disconnect the fan power from the MB.
