I am told that the 3845 cannot exceed more than (2) E3 Mods, anyone know why? Cisco points to thier configurator, but that doesn't explain why..

I didn't see any documents saying the 3845 only supports two T3/E3 modules. I did find a document that said the 3745 only supports two.

Hi Daniel,

I could'nt find any dicumentation on Cisco's website either. Cisco Tech Support informed me of this stipulation, I asked them for documentation. I am waiting for an answer from Cisco.

Thanks, if anybody has input.

If you look at 3800 FAQ you can note that it says "multiple concurrent T3/E3 connections". Guess its a backplane limitation as far as going beyond that limit of 2.

Also the Miercom report seems to test performance only with one T3 line
