We are geting ready to bring up a t3 circuit in couple of days, upon configuring t3 controller I do not
see linecode option to specify b8zs, the PE router I was told b8zs is the linecode to be used.
Would I need a different IOS code in order to have linecode parameter option available?
card type t3 4
controller T3 4/0
cablelength 25
interface Serial4/0
description MPLS_CIRID_
ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 255.255.255.252
dsu bandwidth 44210
EDGE3845_MPLS(config)#controller t3 4/0
EDGE3845_MPLS(config-controller)#?
Controller configuration commands:
bert Start BERT test at DS3
cablelength cable length in feet (0-450)
clock Specify the clock source for a T3 link
default Set a command to its defaults
description Controller specific description
exit Exit from controller configuration mode
framing Specify the type of Framing on a T3 link
help Description of the interactive help system
loopback Put the entire T3 line into loopback
mdl Maintenance Data Link Configuration
no Negate a command or set its defaults
shutdown Shut down a DS3 link (send DS3 Idle)
EDGE3845_MPLS#show controller t3
T3 4/0 is down.
Applique type is Subrate T3
Transmitter is sending remote alarm.
Receiver has loss of signal.
MDL transmission is disabled
FEAC code received: No code is being received
Framing is C-BIT Parity, Line Code is B3ZS, Clock Source is Internal

Hi,
B8ZS is used with T1 whereas a T3 will use B3ZS - as seen from the output of your "show" command.
Check f.e. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B8ZS and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B3ZS
So I am assuming a communication problem between your SP and you. Could you please double check with your provider, if he gave you the proper requirement?
Hope this helps! Please use the rating system.

Thank you Martin !
You nailed it, and I've learned on T3 linecode. SP miscommunication.
