Cisco 827 - QOS question

Is there any way of prioritising traffic based on destination IP or port on an 827?

Any reference material you can point me to with be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Cisco 827 - QOS question

Hi,

You can try something like this:

class-map PriorityTraffic

match access-group 101

!

policy-map PolOut

class PriorityTraffic

bandwidth 256

!

interface atm0.32

ip address x.x.x.x y.y.y.y

pvc 1/32

vbr-nrt 512 512 1

service-policy output PolOut

!

access-list 101 permit .....

With the above setup, all traffic matching ACL 101 will be guaranteed a bandwidth of 256k.

Hope that helps - pls do remember to rate posts that help.

Re: Cisco 827 - QOS question

Hi Paresh,

For a PPPoE connection there's no sub interface, so would I just put what's under interface atm0.32 in the atm interface section.

interface ATM0

no ip address

no atm ilmi-keepalive

pvc 8/35

encapsulation aal5mux ppp dialer

dialer pool-member 1

vbr-nrt 512 512 1

service-policy output PolOut

!

bundle-enable

dsl operating-mode auto

hold-queue 224 in

Thanks for your help.

Re: Cisco 827 - QOS question

Yes, when you are using the main ATM interface, that is the correct location for the policy.
