Just wondering if anyone knows if the Cisco 837 can be configured for a 512/512 SDSL connection? The SDSL connection is just a bridge connection (/30) where you get one static IP and the other static IP is the gateway on Telstra's end.
If the 837 can support a SDSL connection, does anyone have a config for it? Or would the config be the same as a ADSL bridge connection?
Thanks in advance.

I think the 878 supports SDSL (G.SHDSL). The 877 router supports ADSL2/ADSL2+ and is very similar to the 837.

Hi,
We've used the 837 for 'symmetric' ADSL rates of up to 512k/512k.... However, the problem I see is that you are hoping to use this router for an SHDSL link - that is not possible with the 837 and as the previous poster mentioned, you will need to look at a different platform.
I have used the 828 and also the 1721 + WIC-1SHDSL on the Telstra network but I'm sure the newer platforms would work just as well...
Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.

Thanks for all your replies.
I'm using a standard bridge config on the 837 with pvc set to 8/35 but debug all is giving me weird results. Can anyone interpret the debug?
