I was just curious on a Cisco ASA 5505, if it's possible to remotely change the outside interface from dynamic to a static IP? I come across this from time to time where I originally didn't have a need for a static IP but then eventually add one and it would be nice if I were able to make this change remotely via SSH.
I have tried updating the outside interface first with the static info, then also started with just adding the route outside to the gateway and instantly lose remote connectivity both ways. Any ideas?
