Cisco ASA5505/1841

This device says is can handle 10000 sessions (by default). What is the average sessions per user/machine?

Also how does one determine whether a router is capable of handing a specified throughput?

I have 250-300 users, will an 1841 be able to handle the traffic (max 10Mbps)? How about an ASA5505?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Cisco ASA5505/1841

Kindly refer to the product series datasheet to find more details, also Cisco website offer you with a fair comparison between different boxes, configurations example..etc and so on

Re: Cisco ASA5505/1841

I have read through thr data sheet ad it tells me that the 1841 will do wirespeed routing but thats what Cisco wants me to hear. I wanted to know the real life experiences. Will an 1800 series router be able to handle IP routing (no VPN) at 10-25Mbps?

How about with rate limiting rules, will that slow the device down much?

Thanks
