Cisco ASR 1002 - Recommended stable and current release?

Just after the best (and stable) release for the Cisco ASR 1002?

The latest firmwar for the ASR 1002 is :

Release 3.9.1S

ED

If you want a "stable" IOS, I suggest you find a version that catches your fancy and read the Release Notes.  If that version unsettles you, find one until it suits your needs.

You also would like to test the OS in a lab before rolling it out.

By the way, make sure you upgrade the bootstrap codes too.

Most businesses prefer to stay at least a version behind..

so that would suggest two options:

3.8.2S(ED)

3.7.3S(ED)

Latest release for ASR1k is 15.3(2)S1/XE3.9.1S - Posted to CCO on May/29/2013.

BU  Recommended Release- 15.2(4)S3

Also, 15.1(3)S3 is a stable release running on lot of customer network.
