I use the GPRS connection as the backup in my sites in wide network. I have often problems of connectivity, coverage and responses times issues:
R1#sh cell 0 radio Current Band = GSM 900, Channel Number = 96 Current RSSI = -68 dBm Band Selected = GSM all band R1#
R2#sh cell 0 radio Current Band = WCDMA 2100, Channel Number = 10589 Current RSSI(RSCP) = -74 dBm Band Selected = Auto Number of nearby cells = 1 Cell 1 Primary Scrambling Code = 0x78 RSCP = -78 dBm, ECIO = -4 dBm
As you can see, the RSSI have not the same value each time and also the Band used is different from site to site (GSM,WCDMA,...).
Does someone can help and tell me with are better performances ? the range of best RSSI ? and the betest Band ?
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
