Hello,

I have a Cisco WS-3508G-XL 8 port Gigabit switch. For the last couple of days I have been receiving the following errors:

- 407: Received 802.1Q BPDU on non trunk GigabitEthernet0/7 on vlan 1.

- 406: 000299: *Feb 18 09:55:44: %SPANTREE-2-RECV_1Q_NON_TRUNK:

- 401: Received 802.1Q BPDU on non trunk GigabitEthernet0/7 on vlan 1.

- 400: 000296: *Feb 17 12:44:49: %SPANTREE-2-RECV_1Q_NON_TRUNK:

How can I fix these errors? Where Do I look? My network goes completely offline when these errors occur. I need help.

What's connected on port G0/7 ?

It looks like it's a switch with trunking enabled while you have trunking disabled in this switch, hence creating a trunking configuration mismatch.
