hallo, we have purchased new cisco1041 isr and ISDN WIC-1B-S/T cards.
The ios onboard is 12.4(1a) IP BASE.
The router does not recognise the WIC-1B-S/T card !
Here the message:
"%CFG-3-CARD_NOT_SUPPORTED: Slot 1: BRI S/T - 2186 WAN daughter card, Part#80-1833-5, HW-Rev 1.3, Board-Rev B0, S/N 33503975"
I receaved the end-of-life announcement for WIC-1B-S/T on 4-12-05 by email.
I need to be sure that this wan card is not supported by cisco1841 and that it is not an ios bug.
Is there a workaround ?
Must I use only the new card WIC-1B-S/T-V3 ?
The same problem is there on cisco2800 too ?
best regards

Hi
As per the datasheets aval both 1800 and 2800 supports only following ISDN BRI WICs.
WIC-1B-U-V2 1-port ISDN BRI with integrated NT1 (U interface)
WIC-1B-S/T-V3 1-port ISDN BRI with S/T interface

Francesco,
You need the v3 S/T wics. With the newer revisions in mobo from Cisco on the 1800s/2800s/3800s the older cards will not work on this router. (V1 ISDN and T1 wics)
