CISCO1841-SEC/K9 or CISCO1841-HSEC/K9

Hello,

I have an 1841 router and I know it is either CISCO1841-SEC/K9 or CISCO-HSEC/K9, but I am trying to establish which one exactly.

It has a VPN module, Advanced IP Services image and 64/256 memory.

From the research I have done, I think this must be the CISCO1841-HSEC/K9 because it has a VPN module. The slightly different, CISCO-SEC/K9 router does not come with the VPN module.

Please can anyone let me know if my understanding is correct or not?

Thanks and Regards,

Andrei

Hi Andrei,

first of all, all the 1841 produced are exactly the same, and the codes you mentioned are just software bundle codes.

All the 1841 have an onboard VPN module, and it is enabled when a "security" image is loaded, consequently it will show in "show version".

Does it helps? if so please rate post using the scrollbox below!
