All the servers have configured teh NTP server as local core switch ip at cincinatti NA.

Core switch itself configured teh NTP servers as Schaumberg switch ip.

when i checked teh ntp status at both schaumberg and cincinatti switches..i am having teh below error. But time at both switches is exactly showing.

Clock is unsynchronized, stratum 16, no reference clock

nominal freq is 250.0000 Hz, actual freq is 249.9978 Hz, precision is 2**18

reference time is CE70D244.2B189C90 (14:25:56.168 CDT Fri Oct 2 2009)

clock offset is 0.0315 msec, root delay is 24.81 msec

root dispersion is 50.06 msec, peer dispersion is 0.05 msec

error at server end is:

root@lnx102 ~]# ntpdate -q 10.9.0.2

server 10.9.0.2, stratum 16, offset 52.457689, delay 0.02585

12 Oct 08:24:26 ntpdate[15300]: no server suitable for synchronization found

[root@lnx102 ~]#

Please help me urgent in sync teh clock.

What is the authoritative source of NTP time for the Schaumberg switch? (how is the Schaumberg switch supposed to learn authoritative time?)

Is it possible that there is some network issue that is preventing the Schaumberg switch from learning time from its source? Is it possible that this source has some problem and is not currently serving NTP time?
