I'm trying to configure advanced spectrum management in a ubr10k2 with uBR-MC5X20U. This document http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/cable/cab_rout/cmtsfg/ufg_spec.htm describes all about this. But there's something I can't understand. The frequency hop can be managed by several thresholds ( %station maintenance messages lost, cnr, snr, corrected fec, uncorrected fec ). In that document appear this logical expresion [(CNR <= threshold) AND (SNR <= threshold)] AND
[(correctable FEC >= threshold) OR (uncorrectable FEC >= threshold)], however I don't know the relation with the %station maintenance messages lost. The document attached shows an example about one upstream with bad SNR, CNR, cFEC & uFEC and I'm still expecting the frequency hop!!!
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
