Help!

When trying to input commands into the switch I get this error when I enter into the conf t.

_____________________________________________________________________________

Jacobson-2F-4510R#conf t

Enter configuration commands, one per line.  End with CNTL/Z.

Jacobson-2F-4510R(config)#int gi3/18

Config mode locked out until standby initializes

configuration mode locked.'Please try later.'

It does it when I input any command once I've gone in to configure the terminal. Any suggestions on how I can solve this?

Joshua,

In reviewing this, I see that your standby sup in slot 5 is not
completely up.  It shows as disabled in the redundancy state
Please make a console connection to the standby sup in mod 1 and observe
what the current state of this mod is.  Please make sure and log all
console output.  Then you will need to reseat this card.  When you have
done this please attach the output to the SR as well as a current 'sh
tech'.

If possible reseat the module and check the status. It may be that thi sup might be faulty or not able to intereact between the swtich backplane due to some issue which we are nt sure as of now as we dont have complete logs.

HTH
